The 2025 World Young Scientist Summit will be held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province from October 24 to 26, providing a platform for young scientists worldwide to exchange ideas, share achievements, and explore collaboration. The event aims to inject energy of the youth into addressing global challenges and advancing global technological governance. The summit is part of the CAST International Month 2025: Openness, Cooperation, Trust. Held under the theme “S.T.I. Co-hosted by CAST and the Zhejiang Provincial Government, the World Young Scientist Summit has convened six editions, evolving into a high-level global academic exchange event for young scholars. The summit has been included in the action plan released at the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting held in July this year.

Under the annual theme “Converging the World’s Talents, Creating a Better Future”, the 2025 summit will feature one plenary session, 11 parallel sessions, one Universal Gravitation π showcase and exchange event, and a series of regional outreach and local empowerment activities. It will gather nearly 800 representatives, including leading scientists, renowned scholars, young tech pioneers, and representatives from universities, research institutions, and enterprises.

It also highlights the academic growth and career development of young scientists, with the release of latest research findings including the 2025 global career development report for early- and mid-career researchers and a research report on future development of artificial intelligence. Additionally, the summit emphasizes the deep integration of scientific innovation with industrial innovation, promoting the incubation and implementation of a series of science and technology projects.
